Super Savings Saturday at MSM: CVS and Walgreens

It's been a few weeks since I've participated in Money Saving Mom's Super Savings Saturday.

I'm also linking this post over at Denise's blogjoint, The Centstible Sawyer, for her CVS Superstars fun. Take a second and click over to visit her, would ya?

I'm back on track and happy to share my best finds this week with you, the Frugal Faithful!

****************
My best scenario for CVS this week, as posted here at my Shopping Scenario Sunday carnival, didn't work out as I'd planned. My CVS has been cleaned out of the Spa Radiant Bodywash for a few weeks.

I still did well on that trip, buying (2) gallons of milk, $3.29 ea; (2) EOB Lip Butters, 2/$5.00; (1) EOB Dual Sharpener, $1.99; and (1) Mens 24/7 SpeedStick, $3.99.

Total Before Coupons and tax: $17.56

*used $1.00/1 SpeedStick

Final Total: $16.56

ECBs used: $14.99

Cash OOP: $1.55

New ECBs Earned: $5.oo on the (3) EOB products; $3.99 on the SpeedStick

Even though my most hopeful scenario didn't work, I was still able to get milk for nearly nothing and earn $8.99 in new ECBs.

Now, onto the goodies in the photo!

On the left are my Walgreens purchases. I finally got my EasySaver Rebate Gift Card credited from my March Rebates. Walgreens has a great sale on Skippy Peanut Butter and Maxwell House Coffee through Saturday, 4/26. For those deals, you'll need the coupons available in their weekly ad.

Hey, which CVS do you shop at? Mine are always out of the Essence of Beauty stuff and I'm thinkin' those face scrubbers would actually be something I would use! Have you been able to get the Essence of Beauty bags? I can't find those either... (Don't worry, I won't make your CVS a regular store of mine - just when I need some stuff I can't get). TIA!
