How Deals at CVS and Walgreens Help Me When We're Sick

We're all under the weather here at our house; a terrible flu virus has run through my daughter's second grade class (one-third of the class was absent on Tuesday). Not only does she have the nagging cough and intermittent fever, her two brothers have also caught it as well.

I'm fighting this nasty virus, too. Being Mommy means constant exposure to whatever germ of the week my kids bring home. Unfortunately, we moms don't get sick days, do we? ;-)

One of the *best* ways that shopping CVS and Walgreens has helped me over the past year or so (since I discovered the fabulous world of getting goodies for free or nearly free) has been the fact that my medicine cabinet is well-stocked with what I need when all of us get sick. Just about everything I need - Tylenol, Motrin, cold medicines - I have on hand after buying those items for a fraction of their true cost by combining coupons with store sales, rebates, and ECBs.

Need to stock up your medicine cabinet for the last gasp of winter flus and colds? Here are some great deals you can grab!

I love your blog, just started trying to live frugal! I woke up sick this morning & saw your email. So I got out my coupons & headed to CVS after dropping off my son at school. I bought 2 Theraflus, 2 Triaminics & 1 excedrin for $36.15. Had $6 in coupons & got $13 in ECB. So it's like I spent $17.15!!!! THANK YOU so much! My husband is happy too!

Now you've got a nice stash of ECBs to roll over at CVS - you're in the game!
