Blog Improvements A-Coming!

Can I tell all of you THANK YOU enough for all of your input via comments about what you wanted to see here at The New Frugal Mom!

I've been noodling on and off all week about what I could bring you here to not only help you as frugalistas but also to help you as bloggers.

If you read my personal blog from time to time, you know how important writing is in my life. Writing is truly a calling for me; that I can simply sit here and share thoughts and ideas with you all at the touch of a "Publish Post" button is enormous and mind-boggling and humbling all at once.

One of my fave books about writing is On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King; in the very end of the book, he shares his thoughts on what writing is really about:

Writing isn't about making money, getting famous...or making friends. In the end, it's about enriching the lives of those who read your work, and enriching your own life as well.

Those thoughts, IMHO, apply just as equally - if not more so - to blogging. I want what I do here to help others as well as to be of help to me.

Briefly (because the clock is telling me it's time to get my shoes on, grab the keys, and head off to school pickup), here are some of the new features you'll see at The New Frugal Mom in the next weeks:

:: More deal matchups (I'll be linking to some of my bloggy buddies deals) as well as a new feature to help you stretch your shopping dollar each week.

:: Ideas on how to monetize your blog (new territory for me as well as you).

:: Ideas on what to do with leftovers.

:: Help in the kitchen with frugal, cook-ahead dinner recipes.

:: Easier to find and expanded tutorials on CVS, Walagreens, and couponing.

:: Opportunities to link via Mr. Linky to new features so you can showcase and promote what you're doing at your blog.

:: Guest posts in two categories - WAHM's and New Frugal Mom Success Stories - to guide and inspire (please email me if you're interested!)

:: Continued freebies and giveaways.

Those are my ideas - really, your ideas - that I hope to implement here.

Will they all happen at once? I'd like to promise you *YES* but in reality, I need to tell you that I'll likely roll them out a bit at a time. I live with both feet firmly in real life and have three kiddos, two dogs, a fantastic husband, and a full plate of activities for our family and myself. I won't promise you instant results, but I will promise you steady improvements. Sound ok?

Thanks for reading and for listening and for sharing your ideas. I know I end every post with a *Thanks* to you for reading and/or subscribing; it might seem trite or old by now if you're a regular reader. But I want you to know I really mean it; that you're here, still reading this, is just too cool for me to wrap my mind around most days. You guys seriously rock the webhouse.

I'll be working behind the scenes this weekend; it's likely to be quiet here. Thanks for understanding.

Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to move your clocks forward!!

Thanks for reading and subscribing to The New Frugal Mom!
