Me Elsewhere: Frugal Baby Steps

There's an article on Yahoo! today about extreme cheapskates and how pinching pennies until they squeal is becoming more and more accepted as mainstream behavior during this challenging economy.

Not everyone is *quite* as frugal as the bloggers featured in the article; I myself have cut open tubes of Cortizone Ointment to get the last bits when my older son was a little guy with excema (Cortizone Ointment is terribly spendy!) but I've not yet made my own laundry detergent. Maybe one day...

If you're a *new* frugal mom, there's lots of ways you can get started on your frugal journey; click over and read my post about Frugal Baby Steps today at Sisterly Savings. We all have to start somewhere, right? ;-)

And if you're a Dayton, Ohio area reader who would like a little hands-on help with learning how to shop effectively with coupons as well as build a frugal dinner meal plan for the week, check out my friend Erin's upcoming $5 Dinner Dayton Area Workshop. The cost is only - what else? $5! She's got two different time slots available on Saturday, March 21; book your spot now before they fill up!

If you've ever read $5 Dinners and wondered if Erin is as grounded and nice as she sounds on her blog, I'm here to tell you she sure is! I'm glad to have her in my circle of real life friends.

Thanks for reading and subscribing to The New Frugal Mom!
