It all started here, with this lone figure on 1-75:

Last spring (think 2008) when I first started this blog (before I deleted then restarted it in January 2009 - I still smack myself upside the head for my temporary freakout), I was blogging the deals at my local Kroger when another blogger commented, asking which one I shopped.

That other blogger turned out to be Andrea @ Mommy Snacks; we figured out that we both lived on opposite sides of the BBJ exit on I-75 and after emailing and commenting, we decided to meet up at Target to talk blogging and deals and snag some freebies with coupons (of course!).

A friendship began; as the year went on, Andrea and I began listing some of the other local Cincy/Dayton bloggers we knew of and a few from as far as Columbus and Indiana. After kicking the idea around and chatting about it, we set up a local bloggers dinner out for some of the blogging moms we each knew.

It was a blast; there's no one that understands a blogging mom like another blogging mom and we all hit it off. From that first meetup, more have followed; what started as bits and pieces of our lives shared virtually has grown into a community of smart and sassy women in reality.

I am thankful this week for how my life is bigger and better because I can count these bloggers as friends:

$5 Dinners
Amy in OHio
Bargain Briana
Carrie's Cooking
Deal Seeking Mom
Mommin' It Up*
Mommy Bits
Mommy Snacks
Money Saving Methods
Once a Month Mom
Stretching A Buck

Thank you, #bigdealmoms, for being SO fabulously you.

*I'm lucky enough to have known Emily for ten years; our hubs are best friends from high school.

I hope you feel blessed in some way, small or great, this week. Enjoy your Sunday!

Thanks for reading and subscribing to The New Frugal Mom!
