Cincy Area Readers: Frugal Fun with Kids this Summer

I opened up my Enquirer (yes, I still get the print version daily; I'm old school like that) today to find a great article featuring 20 free or nearly free things to do in the greater Cincinnati area with your kids this summer.

To view the article online, click here.

My faves from the article:

:: FREE G and PG movies at Deerfield Stadium 16 in Mason every Tuesday and Wednesday morning, 10:00 am. This program runs June 16-August 12. Click here to see the list of movies that will be shown this summer. Not in Cincy? Click here to find out if the Regal Theater near you is participating in theFree Family Film Festival this summer.

:: FREE Fridays (free admission to public, 4pm- 8pm) at the Cincinnati History Museum, Duke Energy Children's Museum, and Museum of Natural History & Science on these dates: 6/26; 7/24; 8/21; 9/11; and 10/23. Check out all the cool stuff going on at the Cincinnati Museum Center right here.

:: FREE children's admission for every (2) children with (1) paying adult at Newport Aquarium, 4:30pm - 7:00 pm (*please note: there was a typo in the Enquirer article; that article lists the family hours as 4:30-7:30 and the correct times are 4:00pm-7:00pm*), Sunday through Friday; program good through September 4, 2009. Find out info about the Newport Aquarium right here.

Know of some free family fun in the greater Cincy area or in your hometown? Please share what you know in a comment below!

Thanks for reading and subscribing to The New Frugal Mom!

On behalf of the Aquarium, thanks for the shout-out. Just wanted to note the typo in the original ENQ story. Our "summer family hours" are 4:30 - 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday. Thanks!
