Read my Kroger Ad Matchup post for this week (July 6-July 12) right here; the printable Google Doc version is right here.

I don't know about you, but after plundering shopping the Daytona 500 sale for the last two weeks at Kroger, I'm ready for a bit of a break from Extreme Couponing.

Don't get me wrong; I loved finally seeing a big, BIG, sale event at Kroger after several weeks of small sales. But couponing can get tiring - the clipping, the scouring the deal sites so you don't miss a freebie or a cheapie, the planning your trips to get the maximum bang for the fewest bucks - and I think it's good to take a break when you start feeling overwhelmed by it.

Luckily, the week after a big sale at Kroger is traditionally a slow week meaning fewer matchups to find and stockpile; I shopped for what I needed yesterday and grabbed a few good deals, but didn't get much.

At the Kroger here, Kraft cheese was on sale for .99 cents if you bought 5, $1.24 for fewer than 5. I bought 6 (because I still have some of the $1.00/2 coupons), so I used three. This made the 6 packages of cheese $3.24. When the cashier gave me my receipt, I also got a $4.00 oyno cat from Kraft!! So Kraft paid me .76 cents to take 6 packs of cheese! I love Kraft! and Kroger!
