This is a super-calla-fraga-listic-expe-alle-docious* giveaway, my dear frugal friends!

Disney on Ice is celebrating 100 Years of Magic and they're coming to my stomping grounds soon! If you're in the greater Cincinnati or Dayton area, this giveaway is for you!

Mom Central (they have one of the Top 12 Fantastic Facebook Fan Pages for Parents as ranked by Mashable.com) is helping to spread about Feld Entertainment's Disney on Ice show as they tour the country.

One BIG way they're doing that is by using word-of-mom marketing in social media. That's right, moms - your domination of social media is not going unseen in the corporate world. We blog/tweet/facebook what works and what doesn't and companies really do listen!

Because times are tough for so many families, Disney on Ice is making it easier to see their 100 Years of Magic show here at the Dayton (Hara Arena) and Cincinnati (US Bank Arena) shows by offering a coupon code to use at TicketMaster to get either:

-->(4) weekday showtime tickets for $44 ; OR,

-->$4.00 off any weekend showtime tickets.

The coupon code for either discount is MOM.

Disney on Ice will open in Dayton on Thursday, September 17 and run through Sunday, September 20. The Cincinnati show opens on Wednesday, September 23 and runs through Sunday, September 27.

And now...drumroll please...

I've been generously given a family pack of (4) tickets to giveaway for the opening night show on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at 7:30 pm in Cincinnati at the US Bank Arena!

Tickets will be held at Will Call; the winner of this giveaway will need to present a valid picture ID to claim them. If you're worried about the whole claiming of your tickets process, I have the assurance of my Mom Central contact that the tickets will be there and her assurance that she will be happy to answer your questions about the process via email.

How to enter:

We'll keep this one simple, my dear readers, because I want you to enter and have time to spread the news about this giveaway at your blogs and on Twitter.

Leave a comment telling us who your favorite Disney character is (mine is Donald Duck, but only because I can do a mean impression of him!). Can't pick just one? Then tell us what your favorite Disney movie is (I'm still a sucker for Peter Pan)!

You can earn an additional (3) chances to win as well.

1. Tweet about this giveaway then come back here and leave me a separate comment to let me know you tweeted.

2. Post about this giveaway at your blog with a link both to this post; come back and leave the URL of your post in a separate comment.

3. Subscribe to my RSS feed by reader or email and leave a separate comment to let me know you're a new subscriber; you can also drop me a separate comment to let me know if you're already a subscriber for this extra entry.

Remember, you must leave me some way to find you online (by email or by your Twitter handle) if you don't have a blog. Entries with no contact information or means of contacting you online will be disqualified.

This giveaway will end on MONDAY, September 14, 2009, at 10:00 pm EST . I will announce the winner (selected by Random.org) on TUESDAY, September 15, 2009.

Because this is a time-sensitive giveaway, please check back on TUESDAY 9/15, to see if you won. If the declared winner does not reply to my email/comment on the post by 10:00 pm EST Tuesday, 9/15, I will forfeit them and move to the second number as drawn by Random.org.

Good luck!

(Disclosure: I was also offered free tickets to this show for helping to promote this word-of-mom campaign; however, due to scheduling conflicts, I had to decline them. Just so you know!)

My favorite classic Disney character has got to be Baloo from The Jungle Book, and my favorite contemporary Disney (although much harder to choose) is WALL-E ... at least today it is.
