.

I saved this giveaway for the middle of January for a reason - the holiday sales are just about over, the Christmas tree is down, and the long winter stretches ahead of us (with more snow to come, I'm sure).

I thought it would be nice to offer you a chance to treat yourself a bit with a little mini shopping spree courtesy of Marshalls!

I haven't shopped at Marshalls for a few years but when I was in college (way back when!) at Maryland, I loved hunting for deals at Marshalls and TJ Maxx. From clothes to stuff for my dorm room, I found all sorts of goodies at both stores.

In case you've never shopped at Marshalls and you're wondering what kind of merchandise they carry, their stock ranges from brand name fashions to jewelry to housewares, toys and electronics. You can even find gourmet food sets and unique gifts - shopping at Marshalls is like retail therapy with a dash of treasure hunt!

The prices can't be beat - everything in the store is at least 20% off retail and usually much more. And the stock in store is first quality and ever-changing since Marshalls receives thousands of new items each week.

Just be sure to give yourself a good amount of time if you're shopping in-store at Marshalls so you have plenty of time for bargain hunting; there's just SO much to browse; this is the biggest reason why I haven't shopped there recently. With three kids, my shopping time is limited! ;-)

Onto the giveaway!

I've been graciously given (1) $25 Marshalls gift card to give away to one lucky reader.

All you need to do to enter this giveaway is leave a comment sharing your best in-store or online bargain hunting tip - no idea is too small! ;-)

You can earn an additional (3) chances to win as well.

1. Tweet about this giveaway then come back here and leave me a separate comment to let me know you tweeted (add the url from your tweet please).

2. Post about this giveaway at your blog with a link both to this post; come back and leave the URL of your post in a separate comment.

3. Subscribe to my RSS feed by reader or email and leave a separate comment to let me know you're a new subscriber; you can also drop me a separate comment to let me know if you're already a subscriber for this extra entry.

Remember, you MUST leave me some way to find you online (by email or by your Twitter handle) if you don't have a blog - and if you do have a blog that is not public, be sure to leave me a means of contacting you. Entries with no contact information or means of contacting you online will be disqualified.

This giveaway will end on TUESDAY, January 26, 2010, at 10:00 pm EST . I will announce the winner (selected by Random.org) on WEDNESDAY, January 27, 2010.

Good luck!

The internet is my biggest tip, I try to plan my mall shopping trips by going on the internet to see what coupons I can use for my trip. I haven't had to buy panties for 13 year old in a year because of all the free ones we get from Victoria Secrets.

When it comes to grocery shopping my husband and I basically shop for what is in the flyer for the week on sale and we have a coupon box so we see if there are coupons that measure up to what we would like from the store. We also scour the internet for online coupons for particular items.

I just look for the clearance signs! I go strait there and don't even look at full price items.

My best in-store hinting tip is always look for the clearance first. Online bargain hunting tip is to track the item daily, add it to your wishlist or shopping cart so you'd know the price varies.

My favorite on-line bargain hunting tip would be to set the search "lowest to highest" price. Most sites and search engines let you do it. I also go directly to sales and clearance sections of the sites. As others have mentioned "retailmenot" or googling the store name and "coupon code" works for me too.

  45. Simply Being Mommy // January 26, 2010 9:34 AM

My best tip is to always search google for online shopping codes for a percantage off or free shipping! Sometimes shipping can be a real deal breaker. Thanks for the chance to win!
