I have a terrifically toasty giveaway for you this week!

I was recently contacted by Select Comfort to see if I would like to review their Perfect Comforter.  Since I'm in the middle of the SNOWIEST February on record in the greater Cincinnati area (I think I've personally shoveled more snow this week than I have in the past two winters combined), I was thrilled to give it a try.

You've probably seen the Select Comfort commercials for their Sleep Number beds which allow you and your partner to get the best night sleep by choosing a firmness preference on each side of the bed.  The Perfect Comforter allows you and your partner to choose how warm you want to be while you sleep.  If you're always cold, you can select a heavier weight comforter insert for your side while your partner (who may be a human heater) can select a lighter weight comforter insert for their side.

I opted for a queen sized down Perfect Comforter with medium weight inserts on both sides for my hubs and I.  It arrived with the (2) inserts as well as the queen sized cover.  I timed how long it took me to put the inserts in on each side and get them tied to the interior straps (so they don't shift) and it was just about 15 minutes total.  Not too bad!

While the Perfect Comforter does come with a very nice 300 count Damask Stripe cover, it is white and you'll likely want a duvet cover to coordinate with your bedding/bedroom.  If you're crafty, you can easily sew one yourself from flat bed sheets of your choice; click here for a simple set of instructions on how to do this yourself!

Alas, I had some GREAT pictures (one that had my littlest guy all wrapped up in fluffy white softness of the Perfect Comforter) to share with you but my camera software has decided to malfunction for the time being.  You'll have to take my word that this is a quality product, one that you'll be happy to have during these cold winter nights!  One of the best features is the fact that this is an easy care, machine-washable comforter - both the cover and the inserts.  I {heart} fully machine washable/dryable bedding!

If you're interested in more interesting facts about common sleep disturbances that many couples face, click here to read more at Beds.com

And if you're in the market for a new bed (wow, one of these Sleep Number mattresses does sound delightful!), you can take advantage of this current sale at Select Comfort through 02/21/10:

Through February 21, 2010, you can use the above coupon (code 20379) for these deals:

:: 50% off Sleep Number i9 beds (memory foam bed)

:: $750 off Sleep Number p6

:: The Ultimate Pillow Event - Save 20-50% on Pillows

Onto the giveaway!

I've been graciously given (1) Sleep Number Comforter by Select Comfort to giveaway to one lucky winner! The winner will be able to select the size, weight, and fill (down or down alternative) of the comforter so you and your sweetie can both your best night sleep!

How to enter:

Leave a comment telling us whether you are always hot or always cold (especially compared to your partner) when you sleep.  Is the thermostat war on at your house?  ;-)

You can earn an additional (4) chances to win as well.

1. Tweet about this giveaway (be sure you add @SleepNumberSara to your tweet!) then come back here and leave me a separate comment to let me know you tweeted (add the url from your tweet please).

2.  Post what your spouse does that keeps you up at night on Pete Bils’ post on beds.com and add a link to my review/giveaway.  Leave me a comment letting me know you've done this.

3.  Fan and then post on the Sleep Number Facebook page and add a link to my review/giveaway.  Leave me a comment letting me know you've done this.

4. Subscribe to my RSS feed by reader or email and leave a separate comment to let me know you're a new subscriber; you can also drop me a separate comment to let me know if you're already a subscriber for this extra entry.

Remember, you MUST leave me some way to find you online (by email or by your Twitter handle) if you don't have a blog - and if you do have a blog that is not public, be sure to leave me a means of contacting you. Entries with no contact information or means of contacting you online will be disqualified.

**Important Note:  For this giveaway, Select Comfort has asked that I provide them with the name and email addresses of all who enter, so they can add them to their sales/deals/sleep tips email list. They assure me that they will never sell your information; they just like to stay in contact with those individuals who are interested in their products. OMGoodness this would be a BLESSING in my home. These cold Ohio nights have both my DH constantly adding more blankets and then tossing them off once our body adjusts. Plus the fact that although I'm very young and pretty( You can't see me--LOL LOL) I'm going through the menopause and one minute I'm freezing the next I'm burning up!!!

    Thanks for the chance.

I'm single, but there is definitely a thermostat war going on anyway! I have baseboard heaters in my apartment and it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep it regulated. It's either too hot or too cold. So if I win this, I'll get one side in lightweight and the other side in extra weight, so that way all I have to do is flip it to suit the night temperature! Perfect!

I am always back and forth between cold and hot -- my hubby starts out cold and turns into a furnace later, constantly waking up due to temperature discomfort. We would LOVE to win this!!!

Actually, I am always way too hot. Break out in a soaked sweat ever since I was a child. But then I share a bed with a hubby that is always too cold. So I plow the layers on my bed, and push them all to the side at night.
